MB Roland Distillery - MB Roland Azul Agave Pembroke, Kentucky, USA NOSE: Bright fresh agave character (green, vegetal, light grassy notes). Hints of vanilla, baking spice, w/ a touch of caramel from 2–12 months in used bourbon barrels. PALATE: Clean agave sweetness, reminiscent of young reposado tequilas. Layered with vanilla bean, toasted oak, and a whisper of white pepper. Medium light body, slightly oily mouthfeel from the barrel influence. FINISH: Gentle warmth, faded agave herbals, lingering oak spice and a soft vanilla corn sweetness. Overall quite smooth, with more of a tequila style brightness than a heavy bourbon note.
