PALATE: Rich cherry, yuzu, toasted grain, leather, quince preserves, clove, nutmeg. FINISH: Silky-rich and slightly sweet long with lush fruit and subtle oak. AWARDS: The barrel-proof version (bottled at ~124.9 proof) adds further depth: nose notes of fig, port, tobacco leaf and cherry liqueur; palate includes orange preserves, baking spice and cedar; finish warm with rich wood, deep red fruits and spicy oak. NOTES: The whiskey begins as select barrels of their flagship wheat whiskey (aged ~6.5 years), then is transferred to virgin 66-gallon Japanese sakura (cherry-wood) casks and finished for ~6–7 months.
