Talisker Distillery - Molten Seas 14 Year Scotch Whisky Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK NOSE: Swirls of maritime spray, peat smoke, and creamy vanilla, balanced by mineral top notes and a hint of white grape or barbecued pineapple. PALATE: A creamy texture featuring salted caramel, black pepper, and scorched oak. Expect a "molten" intensity where sweet malt meets coastal brine and the signature Talisker peppery fire. FINISH: Long and drying with a lingering warmth of driftwood smoke, pink peppercorn, and a "salted-oak" echo. NOTES: This limited-edition single malt part of Diageo's 2025 Special Releases collection. Distilled in 2011 on the Isle of Skye, it is notable for its innovative finishing process using volcanic rocks to toast the casks. After initial maturation in ex-bourbon casks, the whisky is finished in new American oak casks. These casks are toasted using the radiant heat from super-heated volcanic basalt rocks reaching temps up to 2000C!
