Bardstown Bourbon Company – Mary Dowling High Rye Bourbon Tequila Barrel Finish Bardstown, Kentucky, USA NOSE: Rye spice, vanilla, tobacco leaf, cedar, allspice, citrus zest, and herbal root notes. Subtle agave and floral brightness. PALATE: Light to medium mouthfeel, with warm honey, cinnamon, and fresh orange citrus. Layers of roasted almonds, oats, fudge like sweetness, caramel corn, blueberry muffins, and roasted grains. Mix of classic rye spice and faint tequila character (lime, slight salinity). FINISH: Medium length, warming with cracked black pepper, eucalyptus, lime zest, dried grapefruit peel, agave syrup, and lingering rye spice NOTES: 70% corn, 25% malted rye, 5% malted barley, aged 4+ years in toasted & charred American oak, then finished in reposado tequila barrels that previously held sherry and Vin Doux Naturel.
