ASW Distillery – Fiddler Encore Cigar Batch Bourbon Atlanta, Georgia, USA NOSE: Strong “spice + sweet” vibe. Noted “Cinnamon-Toast Crunch” character right off the bat, from the Amburana finish. Maple-syrup sweetness, sometimes mixing with lighter oak/spice and even a hint of fruitiness. PALATE: Maple sweetness w/ notes of vanilla, soft oak, maybe light fruit or fruit-jam / cherry-coke / dried-fruit character, especially after port or rum-cask portion of blend. FINISH: Finish often leaves lingering sweetness (maple, dried fruit or jam, maybe light citrus or tangy-fruit notes), plus subtle spice or pepper and soft oak. AWARDS: Double Gold Medal, San Francisco World Spirits Competition NOTES: Mashbill is 51% corn / 45% wheat / 4% malted barley and this is finished in a variety of casks: Jamaican rum (5 mo), maple syrup (3 mo), tawny port (12 mo), white port (6 mo), and a brief Amburana stave finish (5 days).
