Iron Fish: Whiskey Maple BBL Barrel Strength Thompsonville, Michigan, USA Nose: A sweet aroma of maple syrup, notes of oak and cinnamon, adding a spicy & earthy dimension, w/ a touch of tangerine providing a bit of tartness. Palate: A rich, sweet, and fruity, reminiscent of caramel spread onto a red apple. Gradually, cinnamon and nutmeg work their way into the flavor, building into a roar on the tongue. Finish: Swallowing sends a blast of cinnamon toward the top of the mouth while tingles slowly works to the sides. Giving way to a rich, sweet & smoky molasses flavor that coats the tongue, w/ slight tingle throughout the mouth. Notes: Aged in fired American oak barrels, then finished in barrels previously used to age maple syrup from the Griner Family Sugar Bush, imparting a subtle maple character.
